Thinking about something more personal and romantic to gift that someone special in your life? Then join our Teaching Artist and Resident Poet, Julio Montalvo Valentin as he guides you in “Poesia en la Carta” and leave with a little more amor than what you came in with.

Julio, along with with the tech assistance of Michele Agosto, LAdB co-founder, on Zoom, will open the evening with a writing prompt and inspire you to write your sweet nothings into a short poem. Each participant will have the opportunity to share what they wrote and submit their poem to be published onto a folded broadside card, mailed directly to you or your loved one by Valentine’s Day. WE PROMISE!

You can join us for complimentary desserts and a bottle of wine… the poetry will be waiting for you at The 9th Ward (limited to 14 couples with proof of Covid-19 vaccinations) or join us from the comfort of your home as we will offer a remote option through Zoom.
