Legendary comedian Scott Thompson from the ‘KIDS IN THE HALL’ performs his most famous character, lounge lizard ‘Buddy Cole,’ in ‘THE LAST GLORY HOLE,’ an evening of hilarious, incendiary monologues leading to an existential crisis where Buddy somehow discovers that he is a fictional character. The new show is funnier, sillier and yet somehow more dangerous and subversive than ever. Join Buddy in an intimate setting as he mixes up martinis and dishes the dirt on his fabulous globe-trotting life, all while reflecting on everything from the fractured state of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to what to do in the event of an alien invasion. Born in North Bay, Ontario, Scott Thompson became a member of ‘The Kids in the Hall’ in 1984. Their eponymous sketch comedy series started in 1989 on the CBC in Canada and on HBO in the United States, then moved to CBS for its fourth and fifth seasons. Thompson became best-known on for his monologues as “alpha queen” socialite Buddy Cole, and his appearances as Queen Elizabeth II, secretary Cathy, businessman Danny Husk, suburban housewife Fran, actress Francesca Fiore, and the demented old man in the popular ‘Love and Sausages’ sketch. After nearly 40 years together, ‘The Kids in the Hall’ had a monstrous comeback season on Amazon in 2022, evidencing the same daring humor that has led to comparisons with subversive comedy acts like ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’ and ‘The Simpsons.’
